What differentiates Mac Tax ® from other CPA firms is that we are more than just a tax preperation firm. We strive to advise our clients on how to best use the tax code to their advantage. Whether you are making a personal or business decision, there is usually a tax efficient way to do so. In addition to being a strong advisory partner to our clients, we are also bringing digitalization to the old, boring accounting world.

We leverage the most up to date technology to make our client-accountant relationship, easier, faster and smarter. Our goal is to make tax and accounting easy for all of our clients. We strive to be their go-to advisor to help in all of their personal and business financial decisions.

Our Team

Justin Macari, CPA

Justin Macari attended Adelphi University (Garden City, NY) where he received his MBA and Accounting degrees. During his time at Adelphi he was on the cross country and track teams, and held several internship positions working on high net worth clients' individual tax returns. From there he began interning at PwC where he worked directly with businesses on preparing federal, state and foreign income tax returns.

He has worked on clients ranging from startups to companies doing over $500 million in revenue that went on to become publicly traded companies. Justin began working on building his business in May of 2020 with his first set of clients. He has been full time with Mac Tax ® Macari CPA P.C. since July 2021.

Justin Restmeyer, CPA, Manager

Justin is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State, having earned his degree from Hofstra University. He began his career in finance and accounting at Fortune 500 companies such as Arrow Electronics, Inc. and CA Technologies, Inc. Simultaneously, he volunteered for the IRS VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program, assisting low-income taxpayers with their tax returns.

Following his corporate roles, Justin transitioned into tax accounting. With over a decade of experience in tax preparation and planning, Justin specializes in helping small businesses and high-net-worth individuals maintain compliance while identifying tax savings opportunities.

Mohamed Waseemulla, Manager

Mohamed Waseemulla attended Jain University (Bangalore, India) where he received his MBA and Accounting Degrees. After graduating he started at KPMG, and then moved to PWC and worked on preparing Federal, State, and Foreign Income Tax Returns.

He has over eight years experience in tax preparation and accounting for corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and high net worth individuals and has been fulltime with Mac Tax since June 2022.

Mohamed Nadeemulla, Associate

Mohamed Nadeemulla is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in the banking and finance industry, specializing in audit, compliance, and project management. He earned his postgraduate degree in MBA in 2014, with a focus on Accounting and Finance from Bangalore, India, laying a strong foundation for his career in the financial sector.

Nadeemulla commenced his professional journey at JP Morgan Chase, where he dedicated nine years honing his skills and expertise. During his tenure, he held pivotal roles including Auditor, KYC (Know Your Customer) Specialist, and Project Lead. His meticulous attention to detail, coupled with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, enabled him to excel in ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance within the organization.

With an extensive background in banking and a comprehensive understanding of financial systems, Nadeemulla transitioned to Mac Tax, where he currently serves as a valued member of the team. In his role, he leverages his expertise to manage US tax portfolios for a diverse range of clients, providing strategic guidance and comprehensive solutions to navigate the complexities of the US tax landscape.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Nadeemulla is actively involved in community initiatives and is passionate about mentoring aspiring professionals in the field of finance. He remains committed to making a positive impact through his work and endeavors to drive innovation and excellence in all facets of his career

Claude Martelly, Associate

Claude Martelly attended Baruch College (Zicklin School of Business) where he received his BBA in Finance and Accounting. During his time at Baruch College he started the CEO (College Entrepreneurship Organization) Club and was also part of NABA (National Association of Black Accountants) and was awarded the pinning ceremony award. He held several Internships positions working with high net worth individuals.

He began Interning for Garden Life Insurance and Mutual of America and worked as a financial analyst. After graduating he began working as a Tax Accountant where he worked with preparing individuals and business income tax returns.
